A&Z Engineering, LLC has been selected by the City of Fort Wayne as the Prime Designing firm for this "signature" project as the Entryway to the Fort Wayne Airport. The Improvements consist of modifying the existing 2-lane pavement to accomodate two 12-foot driving lanes and a 16-foot flush median (for turning movements). The project includes widening and resurfacing the existing pavement, improving the drainage by installing curb & gutters and an enclosed storm sewers system with concrete curb turnouts to improved roadside drainage. Also included is an 8-foot Trail on the east side, decorative LED street lights and modification to existing signal at the intersection with Airport Expressway.
