A&Z Honors Co-Founder Jamal Anabtawi and Announces Its Next Chapter of Leadership
After more than 20 years of leadership, A&Z Engineering co-founder Jamal Anabtawi has officially retired from his role as an owner and leader of the company.
Jamal and Warren Zwick founded A&Z in 2005 with a shared vision for an engineering firm built on strong relationships, technical expertise, responsive service, and a genuine commitment to the communities it serves.
From its beginnings as a small local firm, A&Z has grown into a multidisciplinary company serving public- and private-sector clients throughout Indiana. Jamal’s experience, leadership, and dedication have been instrumental in that growth.
Throughout his time with A&Z, Jamal helped establish relationships that would last for decades. His leadership, commitment to employees, and genuine investment in the firm helped shape the culture and values that continue to define A&Z today.
His influence can be seen not only in the projects A&Z has completed, but also in the people, partnerships, and reputation the firm has developed along the way.
As Jamal steps back from his ownership and leadership role, A&Z is beginning its next chapter. Mark Voss, Landon Grogg, and Andy Bearman will assume his ownership responsibilities alongside Warren, who remains an owner and active leader of A&Z. Jamal will continue working with the firm, supporting the longtime clients and relationships he has established throughout his career.
This transition represents both continuity and growth for the firm. Mark and Landon bring longstanding knowledge of A&Z’s people, clients, and operations, while Andy contributes extensive industry experience and a fresh perspective since joining the company. Together, they provide a strong and well-rounded foundation for A&Z’s next chapter.
Their expanded ownership reflects their long-term commitment to A&Z and ensures that the company remains locally owned and led by people who have already played meaningful roles in its success.
As A&Z moves forward, its leadership remains committed to the principles on which Jamal and Warren founded the company: personal accountability, dependable service, practical solutions, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing what is right for clients and communities.
While Jamal is stepping away from company leadership, the foundation he helped establish will remain an important part of A&Z’s identity and future.
