Allen County Highway Department
A&Z Engineering partnered with Allen County on the design and plan development of added travel lanes and intersection upgrades at West Hamilton Road and State Road 14. The project addresses growing traffic volumes and enhances safety and mobility through additional capacity, improved drainage, and modernized signal infrastructure. A&Z is delivering full-scope design services including topographic survey, hydraulic analysis, ROW engineering, and utility coordination in compliance with INDOT and County standards.

- 450 feet of widening and resurfacing on W. Hamilton Rd.
- Three-lane roadway section with curb and gutter
- New left-turn lane at SR 14 intersection
- Upgraded stormwater drainage tied to Beal Taylor Ditch
- Hydraulic analysis and storm sewer design
- Topographic and boundary survey: 50–80 ft survey width
- Signal head additions and strain pole relocation
- New detector loops and traffic signal coordination with INDOT
- Roadway signage and pavement markings per MUTCD
- Utility coordination and 811 locates for all visible and marked utilities
- Right-of-way engineering, title research, legal descriptions, and parcel plats
- Geotechnical borings (6 total) and subsurface analysis
- Maintenance of traffic plans with phased construction
- Construction phase support and bidding assistance
