The Project consisted of improving the intersection geometry and adding a northbound left turn lane on N. Commerce Drive to westbound US 6 and an eastbound right-turn lane on US 6 to southbound N. Commerce Drive. The project provides a westbound left-turn lane along US 6 onto N. Commerce Drive. The improvements will provide a much safer intersection because of dedicated lanes for turning movements and also provides adequate intersection sight distance. In the early development phase of this project, A&Z Engineering successfully completed an engineering study in just a few months in order for the Town to obtaining the federal-aid funding necessary for the project.
