The intersection of York Drive and SR 13 is located on the north side of Middlebury. In the northwest corner the existing building is being repurposed and it is anticipated that truck traffic will increase. The existing York Drive approach needs to be improved to accommodate the increase in truck traffic. York Drive intersects SR 13 at an approximate 85-degree angle and has two lanes (one in each direction). SR 13's south approach has two lanes (one in each direction) and dedicated right and left turn lanes. The north approach of SR 13 has two lanes (one in each direction) and a dedicated left turn lane. The Pumpkinvine Trail crosses York Drive and SR 13 at this location. The improvements will include a dedicated left turn lane on the west approach, increased radii to accommodate truck traffic, traffic signal modifications, and modifications to Pumpkinvine Trail. A&Z performed topographic survey to verify the existing right-of-way. Stormwater runoff on York Drive will be conveyed to an enclosed storm sewer system via curb and gutter.
