The improvements are needed to improve the safety and mobility of the traveling public and residents of New Haven along Landin Rd. This is accomplished by eliminating and realigning the existing "S" curve at the south end of the project. This improvement will also enhance the area meeting the needs of te increase in residential development and the future traffic capacity and volume. The proposed improvements consist of widening and resurfacing the existing pavement to provide two 12-foot travel lanes width 14-foot two-way left turning lane from 500 feet north of N. River Road to Maysville Road. Constructing an 8-foot sidewalk/shared used path on both sides of Landin Rd, storm drainage items, and deceleration/acceleration lanes at the subdivision entrances. 6' shoulders are also included in the improvements of the project.
