Goshen will be the site of a new consolidated Elkhart County courthouse. The proposed site is on the south side of US 33, just east of the CR 17 overpass. A&Z was selected to help prepare the site for the future building. A&Z was tasked with topographic survey including the right-of-way, and property corners, all utilities, all pavements, and locations of sewer structures, manholes, and vaults. We will be designing the roadway/corridor for drainage, water/sewer design, traffic control, lighting, utility coordination, and right-of-way acquisition. Improvements to the area include widening of Reliance Road to three-lanes, widening of Peddlers Village to three lanes, intersection improvements for Peddlers Village and Reliance with a roundabout, modernizing and updating the traffic signals, relocation of force sewer main and watermain, while maintaining a multi-use path on the east side of Reliance Road. With a very tight schedule needed, A&Z will be working quickly and efficiently to keep to that schedule.
