Jamal is the co-owner and director of business development for A&Z.  Jamal is an Indiana and Ohio licensed Professional Engineer and a Tri-State University Graduate.  Jamal has more than 24 years experience in construction inspection/and management for federally aided projects.  His responsibilities includes business development, maintaining client relationships, and assisting clients in pursing funds for their projects.

Jamal works hand-in-hand with local agency representatives such as Mayors, Councils, and County Commissioners on identifying what the community needs are, analyzes, assesses, and scopes the work in conjunction with their Engineers, Supervisors, and staff.  Jamal also plans and identifies sources of financial assistance for public agencies especially small communities to do roadway improvement projects.

During the past 24 year Jamal has worked with many communities in the surrounding Fort Wayne area and developed close and trusting relationships with them.  Jamal has assisted many of those communities in their transportation planning and addressed their transportation needs.

Warren is the co-owner and the engineering manager for A&Z. Warren is an Indiana licensed Professional Engineering since 1991, and a Purdue University Graduate. Warren has over 22 years of experience including a broad range of projects for both public and private clients, local, state and federal agencies all with varied funding sources. Warren is currently responsible for project development and performance for all projects.

Warren has worked on many civil and transportation projects including: infrastructure improvements, roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation, intersection improvements, traffic signalization, trailways, and public transit facilities.

His varied project and design experience includes: transportation planning, cost estimating, engineering studies and reports, traffic control and phasing, conducting public meetings and hearings, utility coordination, budget and schedule control, permitting, right-of-way engineering, bid documents, and construction administration.

Elias is A&Z’s Senior Transportation Consultant, and is an Indiana Institute of Technology graduate with over 40 years of professional experience.  Elias is a recipient of the prestigious Councils of the Sagamores of the Wabash, which is the highest award the Governor of Indiana can issue.

Elias’ responsibilities while working with the staff include assisting local government agencies, developers, local non-profit citizen groups, colleges and universities in defining common interests and achieving the desired project results that are beneficial to all.  This begins with identifying the needs, discussing the ideas with the local legislators for their input, introducing the scope of work to the public, and assisting the community in obtaining the available funds to make their ideas become a reality.

Paul's experience in civil engineering began in 1991 upon graduating from Vincennes University.  After graduating from college, Paul spent 5 years gaining valuable design experience at one of southern Indiana's premier engineering firms before accepting a designer position under Warren Zwick in Fort Wayne.  Paul is a Civil Engineering Technician and Engineering Designer in A&Z's transportation and site development fields and has been with A&Z since its beginning.  Paul has worked on countless transportation projects for both public sector and private clients.  While roadway design and site development design are Paul's specialty, he also has experience in site surveying and construction inspection, making him a multi-faceted member of A&Z's staff.

Paul's project experience ranges from small single business site layouts to multi-million dollar roadway projects including: new roadway construction, roadway reconstruction/rehabilitation improvements, intersection improvements, traffic signalization, greenways and trailways, residential subdivision design, commercial/industrial development design, and multi-unit apartment site design.

Wes is a Senior Engineering Designer and a graduate of ITT Technical Institute of Fort Wayne.  He has over 24 years of highway design experience which includes project management, engineering design, construction inspection, and use of AutoCad and Land Development Desktop.

Wes’s roadway design experience includes intersection improvements, added travel lanes, rehabilitation/reconstruction of divided and non-divided roadways, rest areas, traffic signal modernizations, and trailways.

Wes is very familiar with the federal-aid process of transportation projects and has worked with both local governments and INDOT officials to meet their transportation goals involving countless projects throughout Indiana.

Mark brings many assets to the A&Z team including; INDOT certifications in construction inspection as well as design and CAD experience. He has over 7 years of construction inspection experience as a lead inspector on several local projects. Mark's construction inspection experience includes roadways, pedestrian and roadway bridges, water and sewer infrastructure, and traffic signal improvements.

Chris has been working on INDOT and local projects since his graduation from Tri-State University in 2006.  He has experience working with AutoCAD, and several hydrology programs. Chris has also taken courses in graphical design, which has helped put a new perspective into the preparation of the proposals.  He is a qualified INDOT inspector, and is currently assisting in the inspection projects.

Aaron graduated from Purdue University in 2002, and soon began his career in the Civil / Transportation field as a project designer. He obtained his Engineer-in-Training (E.I.) license in 2006 and joined A&Z as a Lead Engineer in 2007. Aaron has experience working on a variety of transportation projects and is also certified to perform construction inspection and write environmental documents. Aaron is currently preparing to take his Professional Engineer (P.E.) license exam and is also in the process of completing coursework for a Master's Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.).

Kraig brings over 24 years of Land Surveying and Construction Inspection experience to A&Z Engineering, and is also INDOT certified.  His transportation experience includes INDOT projects, Railroad, Watershed Conservancy, and locally funded roadway widening and reconstruction projects.  He also has public works experience including water main, sanitary sewer and storm sewer surveying and inspection.

Zane will be assisting in several of A&Z's INDOT/LPA inspection projects.  He is certified in all material testing, and will be an asset to many of the larger projects. 

Sherry is the Senior Office Administrator. Sherry brings with her 20 years of banking experience.  Her daily interaction with the public and customers is a great asset to A&Z.  She currently assists with the preparation of proposals, and the day-to-day office needs.

A&Z Currently has the three summer interns who are qualified to do testing on INDOT projects.  Jennifer is currently pursuing her masters degree in Transportation Engineering at Purdue University; Chad is currently pursuing his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering at Purdue University; and Justin will be pursuing his bachelors degree at IPFW University.
