A&Z teamed with the LandPlan Group again for this final segment for the City of New Haven Downtown Improvement Project. The project involved: new curb and sidewalk, decorative street lighting, trees and plantings, storm sewer improvements, total pavement reconstruction, and a new traffic signal. Bridge 103 Inspection: DeKalb County, IN | ||

A&Z completed the inspection of the bridge over Black Creek. This project involved: a new 130' triple span concrete bridge, new 48-foot wide asphalt pavement, and new guard railing. | Memorial Coliseum - Coliseum Boulevard and New Entrance: Allen County, IN |

A&Z completed the design and inspection of the new intersection at Allen County Memorial Coliseum entrance. This project involved: pavement replacement and widening; storm sewer; new intersection with signal; structure relocation; and a new roadway alignment connecting California road to Coliseum Blvd. This project marked the first full design and inspection project to be completed 100% by A&Z Engineering. | Hand Road at Dupont and Baird Roads: Allen County, IN |

The two projects consisted of realigning the existing offset intersections of Hand Road at Dupont Road and Hand Road at Baird Road. The intersection reconstruction will be improved by constructing reverse curves. The new roadway and intersection improvements eliminate unsafe sight distance problems and alleviating hazardous traffic conditions at both locations. This Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) project involved adding travel lanes to facilitate right/left turning movements, installation of flashing traffic signal for intersection safety improvements, and correcting a sight distance through an adjustment to an existing super elevation curve problem. This federal aid project involved complete pavement reconstruction and rehab of 4000 feet, designing curb and gutter, storm sewer improvements, sidewalks, erosion control, traffic maintenance phasing, traffic signs and pavement markings. This project involved a new vertical and horizontal alignment two lane roadway, addition of auxiliary turn/accel/decel lanes, and concrete widening and reconstruction on S.R. 930, traffic maintenance phasing and signal modification on S.R. 930. A new storm system was also designed, including: side ditches, curb and gutter and erosion control features. | Realignment of Oak Fall Road at Tonkel Road Intersection: Allen County, IN | |||

At the new development Village
At Oak Crossing located at the northwest corner of Dupont and Tonkel
Roads, the developments Tonkel Road entrance with future traffic signal
required the realignment of existing Oak Fall Road (Oak Grove Villas
subdivision entrance) for a realigned and safer intersection.
The project involves reconstruction of the subdivisions concrete
pavement, sidewalk and drainage

| Village At Oak Crossing Development – Traffic Signals: Allen County, IN | |||

At the new development Village At Oak Crossing located at the northwest corner of Dupont and Tonkel Roads. Traffic signals design included two new signals at the intersections of Dupont Road (SR 1) and New Development Road and at Tonkel Road (Old SR 427) and New Development Road/Oak Fall Road (relocated); also the traffic signal modification design for the existing signal at Dupont and Tonkel Road intersection. An INDOT approved detailed traffic control plan was developed for the Dupont Road (SR 1) widening for the development required improvements. | Scott Road at SR 14 Trail – Pedestrian Crossing: Aboite New Trails-Fort Wayne, IN | |||

Design and plan development for the Scott Road trail improvements extending an asphalt trail to SR14 and provide a pedestrian crossing Scott Road at the existing traffic signal. The trail improvements include ADA concrete ramps, asphalt trail, concrete sidewalk, drainage improvements and side ditch modifications and pavement markings. The addition of a pedestrian crossing at Scott Road required pedestrian push buttons and pedestrian signal heads at the traffic signal. | Bridge No. 103 Replacement: Dekalb County, IN | |||

A&Z teamed with Engineering Resources, Inc. for the bridge design services. This project involved complete removal and construction of a 117 foot three span bridge over Black Creek on Old SR 327. The project also included roadway rehabilitation, shoulder reconstruction, guardrail installation and pavement markings. The project also required road closure and detour route detail plans. | US 6 Water Main Improvements: Waterloo, IN | |||
|
The project along US 6 in the Town of Waterloo included the installation of approximately 240 feet of 6 inch water main with services and fire hydrants from Washington Street towards Wayne Street. The project required coordination with INDOT staff and other affected utilities for relocation of the Town ’s water main prior to a larger INDOT US 6 improvement project construction.
